Medical Director
Dr Alexandre CARON recently joined CEMKA as Medical Director, providing medical expertise and technical support to the company’s various business units.
Trained as a Public Health Doctor, Alexandre CARON has had an active university hospital career of almost 5 years at the University Hospital of Lille and the Instituto de Salud Carlos III in Madrid, sharing his activities in the departments of Public Health, Biostatistics, Medical Informatics and Health Economics.
His research work has resulted in some fifteen publications, some of which have won awards (Best Paper Award 2018 of the American Medical Informatics Association). Alexandre CARON has also been responsible for and lead author of various reports, including two international methodological projects on the evaluation of the use of medical devices.
This research activity conducted in parallel with his hospital activity enabled him to finalise his PhD on the evaluation of the relevance of value of information analysis as a tool for early technology assessment and to prioritise research within the framework of French regulations.
